Why is the company called Naturally Tribal Skincare?
The name Naturally Tribal is significant as historically, people associate the word tribe with negativity, segregation, and otherness. We have used our name to flip this narrative by building a tribe of people of all backgrounds connected by their love of nature, their love for natural products and their love for our planet
What does Source to Jar mean?
We know that consumers are well informed, want to know where ingredients come from and want to ensure a transparent and clear supply chain. Our source to jar journey speaks to the traceability of our main ingredient (Shea Butter). It means that when you pick up one of our products, you can take the journey with us from our Shea Butter sourced in the Kingdom of Essan to the jar in your hand.

What does Clean Beauty mean to Naturally Tribal Skincare?
Clean beauty is currently an unregulated term, we define our clean beauty ethos as a focus on safe and effective natural ingredients that are fantastic for you and your skin. Our skin absorbs approximately 70% of what we put onto it, therefore we believe that what you put on your skin should be as important as what you eat. All of our products are chemical free, formulated without parabens and sulfates.
What do you mean by Trade Not Aid?
Trade not Aid to us ensures that we collaborate with the women of Essan by sourcing our main ingredients, including Shea Butter, from their community in an ethical and sustainable manner. We do this by providing the infrastructure needed to ensure quality, and the training that will help them progress.
What are you doing Essan?
We are currently building a factory in the Kingdom of Essan to allow us to ultimately employ up to 70 rural women, creating employment and empowerment. For us when you educate a woman you educate a family, a community and a nation.

Are Naturally Tribal Products Treatments?
We make all natural, synthetic chemical and preservative free formulations which help to manage skin conditions naturally. They are natural alternatives containing mother nature’s ingredients to help soothe conditions such as dry skin, eczema, psoriasis and rosacea as well as helping maintain great skin through the power of nature. Our team, with knowledge of skin conditions and how debilitating they can be, have produced products that not only help, but empower those using them to love their skin again.

Why is your product texture different?
Our products contain no preservatives or water (Body Foods and exfoliators) and are more solid than most. We suggest that scoop a little, rub between hands which melts in your hands at body temperature. It may be useful to use a small spatula to scrape the surface of the product and apply it from there.
I don’t have a skin condition – can I use your products?
Our products are amazing for people who wish to maintain their skin as nature intended. We have formulated products with sensitive skin in mind, our products are designed to nourish the skin of those who suffer and those who do not. Naturally Tribal Skincare products are suitable for people with skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, dry skin. They help relieve itching, soothe red and inflamed skin and other symptoms associated with skin conditions, doing this using the power of nature.
What do your products offer to Menopausal women?
Skin flare up can be connected to changing hormones. Dry and itchy skin can be some of a number of symptoms women may experience during Menopause and our customers going through this have reported the natural benefits our products provide to their changing skin
Are your products unisex?
We are proud to have products that are in themselves diverse, products that cater for all skin types and tones. It is a matter of preference and we give our customers the choice, empowering them to have options and access to products most suitable for them. Our products know no race or gender.
What age are Naturally Tribal Products for?
From teenagers to the elderly, our products are intergenerational, providing comfort and great results to a diverse range of customers. Our customers range from 25 to over 60 year olds who use our products confidently. Customers are informed and savier than ever before and our Tribers focus less on age and more on our wonderfully selected ingredients, on the natural goodness our products provide to the skin, to the environment, to our communities and our planet.
Are your products suitable for Children?
Our company was founded by a mothers love and passion to find natural remedies to ease her newborns eczema. One in five children in the UK suffer from eczema and our YARA Body Food is perfect to use from birth, soothing baby’s dry skin or eczema. It is also suitable for adults with sensitive skin and for new nursing mothers. The clean and natural formulation can help soothe cracked nipples too.
What are your main ingredients?
You will find the amazing ingredient that is Shea Butter in all our current products. Our unrefined Shea Butter is then complimented with high quality essential oils tailored to each product. Please click on each product in our shop to access a full list of ingredients each product contains
Is Shea Butter Comedogenic?
Comedogenic simply refers to the ability of this ingredient to clog up our pores and noncomedogenic, meaning that it does not clog pores. There has been much debate, claims and disagreements as to whether Shea Butter is or isn’t comedogenic and with no actual research to validate either way, it is mostly down to personal and professional opinions. It all depends on your skin type, for some, it could clog the pores but for the majority, this is not the case. Some report that Shea Butter has helped manage their acne and others say its use led to a breakout. The human body is different, we are all individuals hence the approach to skincare is trying and finding the right thing for you.
Have your products undergone any testing?
Every single one of our products has been professionally developed and cosmetic tested. Each of our products comes with its own Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR)
Why are our moisturisers called Body Foods?
Our moisturisers are called Body Foods because we truly believe that ‘if it is good enough to eat, then it is good enough to put on your skin’. Our products are NOT edible however, our ingredients are a form of food and come from nature!
Is the packaging recyclable?
With packaging, we're committed to doing our part to help reduce the 120 billion units of landfill waste produced annually. Our products come in cardboard boxes made from recyclable materials which means that they can be recycled. Our all natural formulas are packaged in black glass jars which are completely recyclable and reusable. We screen print directly onto the glass jars which means no more labels and less waste ending up in landfill. We currently use black plastic lids, which are recyclable in certain areas but we encourage you to check your local council website before recycling. Are the products Vegan Certified?
All our products are proudly Vegan Certified by The Vegan Trademark, a globally recognised standard. We undergo annual reviews on each product ensuring our end products are compliant as well as our entire supply chain including our manufacturers and suppliers. Are the products tested on animals?
All our products are certified Cruelty-Free and NEVER tested on animals. All of our products are approved under the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny programme, the internationally recognisable gold standard for cruelty free products. We adhere to a fixed cut-off date policy and proactively monitor our suppliers to ensure that our products continue to adhere to the Leaping Bunny criteria. What sizes do your products come in?
Our Body foods come in two sizes (90ml and 250ml), our Beard and Intimate Oils come in 30ml bottles, our Body Wash in a 200ml bottle and our Scrubs come in 200g jars and contain 130g of products.
SHIPPING
When will my order ship?
We are a proudly British based company and we ship locally and internationally mostly via Royal Mail. Orders are typically dispatched in 2-3 business days, excluding the weekend and national holidays.
How much is delivery?
We offer free delivery for orders over £40 and standard shipping in the UK is £3.10. International shipping costs will vary based on location
RETURNS
What is your return policy?
If you change your mind for any reason, simply return your order to us within 14 days in the original packaging, unopened and unused and we will provide a refund or exchange.
My product arrived damaged, what do I do?
If your product has been damaged in transit please email us with a photograph of the damage and we will arrange delivery of a replacement.
How long does it take to process my refund?
Returns are processed within 2 business days of receiving. We initiate the refund straight away on our end, but depending on your bank's policy, please allow up to 5 business days for the refund to reflect on your account.
